PUMPKIN BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 c. salad oil 1 c. canned pumpkin 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs, well beaten 1 2/3 to 2 c. flour 1/2 c. raisins Grease loaf pan or use 2 (1 pound) coffee tins. Mix dry ingredients first, then add eggs, oil and pumpkin; add nuts and raisins, mixing well. Pour into pan or coffee tins, bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on rack. Freezes well. |
