INDIAN FRY BREAD 
3 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lard
2 c. (approximately) cold water
Fat for frying (350 degrees)

Mix all dry ingredients. Cut in lard and add water to make thick dough. Knead well. Break off handfuls and fry in deep fat until golden brown.
