1 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. persimmon pulp 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. cloves 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. chopped nuts Cream 1/2 cup sugar and shortening then mix remaining sugar with egg and add to creamed mixture. Dissolve soda in persimmon pulp them beat into sugar mixture. Combine dry ingredients and stir into persimmon mixture. Mix in the nuts then drop from spoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. |
