OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/3 c. sifted plain flour
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 stick butter
1 1/4 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour boiling water over oats and set aside while preparing the following. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda and flour. Add to oats. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. When done, leave in pan while you combine topping.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 can flaked coconut
1/4 c. Pet milk
1 c. chopped nuts

Place on stove and stir until ingredients are melted. Spread over hot cake. Put in oven until lightly browned.
