SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. cracker crumbs
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. ground pork
1 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. sugar
Bit of parsley

Mix meats together. Saute onions in shortening and add to meat. Mix crumbs, milk and cornstarch together and add to meat. Mix remaining ingredients and add to rest. Shape in form of balls about the size of a 50 cent piece. Brown in skillet. Make gravy.

GRAVY:

3 beef bouillon cubes
5 tbsp. flour
3 bay leaves
3 c. water
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice

Blend flour in fat remaining in meatball skillet. Add rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Add meatballs. Put in oven casserole and cook slowly in oven at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Remove bay leaves and serve.
