LEMON SAUCE 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
2 eggs, beaten

Melt butter, stir in sugar, water, juice and peel. Stir in eggs. Cook over medium heat, stirring with whisk until thickens. Serve warm over gingerbread.
