OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIPPERS 
1 1/2 c. butter (3 sticks)
1 c. butter Crisco
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
6 c. oats
Walnuts (optional)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter, Crisco and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices; mix well. Stir in oats. Add chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10-11 minutes for crisp. Cool one minute on cookie sheet. 6 dozen.
