APPLE CAKE 
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. apples, peeled and chopped
nuts and raisins (optional)
whipped topping

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Fold in apples, mixing well. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped topping.
