ORANGE, CRANBERRY, NUT BREAD 
4 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. orange juice
Grated peel from 2 oranges
2 c. raw cranberries
2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Sift together dry ingredients. In mixing bowl, cream shortening; add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternating with orange juice, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Add grated peel; mix well.

Fold in whole cranberries and nuts. Pour into 2 greased 9x5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Test center. Freezes well.
