EASY NEVER FAIL PRALINES 
1 lb. light brown sugar
7 or 8 tbsp. water
1 or more c. pecans
1/2 stick butter

Let sugar and water boil hard, then add pecans. Cook until mixture reaches soft ball stage. Add butter and remove from fire. Beat until creamy, but of consistency that will spread. Drop by spoonfuls onto sheet of waxed paper and let harden. Make certain there are sufficient nuts in each spoonful.

Mine came out grainy. I didn't cook it very long but I would suggest using a candy thermometer for soft ball stage but they still got eaten!!
