CHERRY CAKE COBBLER 
1 can cherries
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk

Heat 1 can cherries and 1 cup sugar. Mix 1 cup flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 2 tablespoons firm butter, cut into small pieces and 1/2 cup milk. Beat by hand. Pour into greased 6 x 10 inch pan. Pour heated cherries onto batter. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees.
