BREAD STICKS 
1/4 c. butter (do not substitute)
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2/3 c. milk
Coarse salt
Sesame seed or poppy seed

Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Mix until dough clings together. Knead lightly. Roll out 1/2 to 1/4 inch thick into 8 squares. With floured knife cut about 10 strips. Melt butter in 9 inch square pan and roll strips in it. Put bread sticks on baking sheet and sprinkle with salt or seeds. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
