NEW, OLD FASHIONED ICE CREAM
4 eggs 2 1/2 c. sugar 6 c. milk 4 c. half and half 2 tbsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt Beat eggs until lightly colored. Add sugar gradually, beating until mix thickens. Add remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly. Freeze in ice cream freezer according to freezer directions. Makes 1 gallon vanilla ice cream. Fruit may be added shortly before ice cream "makes".

The consistency is great but the vanilla needs to be doubled. Not a lot of flavor when made with what recipe calls for.
