CHOCOLATE KISS THUMBPRINTS | |
1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 egg, separated 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled 1 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. chopped nuts 30 milk chocolate Kisses, unwrapped Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheet with Butter Crisco and set aside. Combine butter Crisco, sugar, milk, vanilla and egg yolk. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add melted chocolate. Mix well. Combine flour and salt. Add to chocolate mixture. Mix until blended. Form into 1 inch balls. Beat egg white slightly with a fork. Coat balls with egg white. Roll in chopped nuts. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Press thumb gently in center of each ball. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes. Remove from oven. Place Kiss in each thumbprint. Return to oven for 1 minute. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 2-2 1/2 dozen. |
