1 c. butter
3 eggs
Juice of 1 lg. orange
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt

FILLING:

4 tart apples, peel and shred
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Cinnamon-sugar
Lemon juice to cover apples

Mix first 5 ingredients. Then add flour, baking powder and salt. Put 1/2 batter on bottom of pan, then 1/2 topping. Repeat. Bake at 350 degrees in 9x13 greased flat pan for 45 minutes.
