CHILI FOR THE SERIOUS CHILI
LOVERS
 
1 oz. bacon
1/2 c. water
2 c. onion
2 tbsp. garlic, minced
2 1/2 lb. sm. cubes of beef
4 tbsp. cumin
4 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 c. beer
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce

Chop bacon and fry until done but not crispy. Brown cubed meat and onion in bacon grease. Drain grease and all remaining ingredients. Can add canned beans, if desired.

Simmer 2 1/2 hours.
