CHERRY DESSERT 
6 egg whites
2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 c. box soda crackers (1 tube)
2/3 c. nuts

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and cream of tartar. Crumble the crackers into big hunks and add along with nuts. Put in 9 x 12 and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

TOPPING:

2 pkg. dry Dream Whip
7/8 c. milk
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix Dream Whip and milk. Put on top of bake mixture (after cooling to room temperature). Refrigerate for 1 hour. Add cherry pie filling and refrigerate for additional hour.
