PORK CHOPS WITH TART JELLY 
4 pork chops
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. powdered sage
2 apples
1/4 c. tart jelly
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. vinegar

A heavy iron skillet which can go in the oven is best for this recipe. Rub chops with salt and sage. Brown on both sides and remove from skillet. Add flour and brown sugar into the pan. Add water slowly. Cook until smooth. Stir in vinegar and jelly; simmer until smooth. Pour into bowl. Place chops back into skillet. Cover with sliced apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until chops are tender. Very good with baked potato.
