SOUTHERN CORN BREAD 
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. corn meal
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter, melted

Mix and sift flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in corn meal. Beat eggs and milk together. Add butter. Pour into dry ingredients. Stir only until blended. Bake in greased 9 inch square pan at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
