Bring to a boil:

2 c. water
1/2 c. salt
Food coloring

Remove from heat and add:

2 tbsp. alum (preservative)
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Mix and knead together well on aluminum foil or on counter top. Store in covered container in refrigerator. This should keep well for at least 1 month.
