APPLE BUTTER LAYER CAKE 
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 c. soft butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. Musselman's Apple Butter

In medium mixing bowl stir together flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and ground cloves. Set aside.

Meantime, beat butter and sugar together until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix together buttermilk and apple butter. Add to sugar mixture alternately with flour mixture, mixing well after reach addition. Spread into 2 greased 9 inch round pans. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool thoroughly on cake rack. Frost cooled cake with Creamy Vanilla Frosting.

CREAMY VANILLA FROSTING:

In small mixing bowl combine: 1/4 c. Pet Evaporated milk 2 tsp. vanilla 1 lb. powdered sugar (4 c.)

Mix until frosting is smooth and shiny. If consistency is too thick, add a few drops of evaporated milk. Frost cooled Apple Butter Layer Cake.
