1 peck green tomatoes, sliced the day before pickling them
1 dozen onions, sliced
Salt

Sprinkle the salt over tomatoes and onions.

Next day, drain off the liqueur and add: 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. allspice 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tbsp. mustard

Vinegar to cover, then cook until soft.
