CHOCOLATE MACAROONS 
4 egg whites
2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
2 c. fine vanilla wafer crumbs
2 (1 oz.) squares semi-sweet chocolate, grated
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat egg whites until foamy, slowly add confectioners' sugar, and continue beating until firm peaks form. Stir in crumbs, chocolate and cinnamon. Drop by level teaspoons 2 inches apart on well-greased cookie sheets and bake 20 minutes. Transfer at once to wire racks to cool. 40 calories per cookie. Yield: 4 dozen.
