HARD CANDY 
3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo
1 c. water
1 tsp. flavoring oil
food color
powdered sugar

Mix sugar, Karo and water. Stir to dissolve and boil to 310°F on candy thermometer (crack stage). Add flavoring and color. Pour onto foil lined with powdered sugar (thick layer). Cool slightly and cut with sharp scissors into squarish shapes.
