BLUEBERRY MUFFINS | |
1 c. sugar in a bowl 1/3 c. shortening 2 eggs 2 level c. flour, sifted 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg (This last ingredients is really the secret that makes them so good) Put 1 cup of sugar in a bowl. Put 1/3 cup of shortening in measuring cup add 2 eggs and fill cup with milk; add to sugar in bowl and beat well. Sift together: flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Fold into first mixture and then fold in 1 1/2 cups blueberries. Cook at 400 degrees 15 to 20 minutes. |
