MASHED POTATOTES WITH GARLIC 
1 1/2 lbs. boiling potatoes, peeled
3 whole cloves garlic, peeled
Salt to taste
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
Pepper to taste

Cut potatoes into thick slices and place in large saucepan with garlic, salt and enough cold water to cover. Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook, partially covered, 12 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain. Put potatoes and garlic through food milk or mash together with electric beater. Return to pan; add remaining ingredients. Beat over low heat until blended. Serve. Serves 4.
