BOILED COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 lb. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. nuts, optional

Cook sugar, milk, butter and cocoa for 1 minute and 30 seconds. After mixture reaches a rolling boil, remove from heat; add oats, vanilla and peanut butter. Beat well until blended; add nuts. Spoon quickly on waxed paper in shape of cookies. Yield 35 cookies. Do not double this recipe.
