BULKOGI 
2 lbs. flank steak or sirloin tips
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. garlic powder
5 tbsp. soy sauce
5 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. sugar
1-2 tbsp. cracked black pepper

OPTIONALS:

1 tbsp. crushed sesame seeds
3 tbsp. dry sherry

Trim fat and cut steak against grain into thin strips. Mix all other ingredients well. Arrange meat in shallow glass baking dish. Pour marinade over meat and coat well. Let stand covered 2 hours or overnight. In heavy skillet brushed LIGHTLY with oil, pan broil over high heat, searing quickly. Serve with rice.
