YLVA'S KUCHEN 
3 eggs, lg.
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 stick of butter
2 tbsp. sugar
Optional: 1 apple, peeled & thinly sliced

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter. Brush some of melted butter onto bottom and sides of 8 inch spring form pan. Sprinkle the 2 tablespoons of sugar on sides and bottom of buttered pan. Set pan aside.

In a bowl blend the eggs and 1 1/4 cups sugar. When blended, mix in the flour and baking powder. Pour into batter remaining butter and mix. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake slowly 30 to 45 minutes. Cake is done when it draws away from the pans edge.

OPTION: Pour batter into pan and arrange apple slices on top, pressing them slightly into the batter. Sprinkle more sugar on top and bake.
