CABBAGE PATCH STEW 
1 lb. ground beef
3 med. onions, sliced thin
2 c. shredded cabbage
3/4 c. diced celery
2 c. cooked tomatoes
#2 can red kidney beans
Salt & pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
Hot mashed potatoes

Brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onions, cabbage and celery; cook until yellow. Add water to cover (about 3-4 cups). Simmer 15 minutes. Add beans, tomatoes and seasonings; cook about 25 minutes. Serve in bowls topped with spoonfuls of mashed potato. Serves 6-8.
