ONION BRINE 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/2 tsp. dill seed
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. water

Mix all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Set aside to cool. Slice onion rings; pour liquid over. Let stand overnight. Delicious!
