MOM'S APPLE COBBLER 
4 c. chopped apples
Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. cinnamon

Stir and set aside. 2 1/4 c. water 1/4 tsp. salt

Heat to dissolve. 1 stick butter. Put in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan in oven to melt. 1/2 c. Crisco, cut in flour 1/3 c. milk

Add to flour mixture. Stir with fork until dough leaves side of bowl. Roll dough in a large rectangle 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle apples evenly on dough. Roll up as a jelly roll. Seal edges with water.

Slice into 1/2 inch slices. Place in pan of melted butter. Pour sugar and syrup around rolls. (Looks like too much but the crust will absorb it.) Bake 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. Best served while still warm.
