PEPPERED MEAT LOAF 
2 lbs. ground chuck
1/2 lb. bulk sausage
1 lg. onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
3/4 c. crushed saltine crackers
2 eggs
2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 to 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into rings
Sauce (below)

SAUCE:

1 c. ketchup
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Combine all ingredients except potatoes and sauce; mix well and shape into a loaf. Place potatoes in bottom of crock-pot. Top potatoes with meat loaf. Pour sauce over all. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 12 hours. 6 to 8 servings.
