SHEPHERD'S PIE 
8 oz. minced beef (ground beef)
1 lb. potatoes
1/2 onion
Chopped herbs
1/4 c. milk or stock
1 lb. flour
2 tsp. butter
1/4 c. hot milk
Pinch of salt and white pepper
Parsley and sweet pepper for garnishing

1. Put minced beef in a saucepan over the heat.

2. Add chopped onion, herbs, salt and white pepper to taste.

3. Peel and cook potatoes in boiling salted water.

4. Make a white sauce with the 1/4 cup milk, 1 tablespoon flour and butter and add it to the meat. Stir well. Continue to cook for a while then remove from the heat.

5. Crush potatoes with 1/4 cup hot milk, butter, salt and white pepper.

6. Spread minced meat mixture into a greased Pyrex dish. Cover with mashed potato.

7. Dot with butter and put to bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

8. Garnish with parsley and pepper.
