PECAN PIE BARS 
CRUST:

1 box Duncan Hines Deluxe cake mix (reserve 2/3 c. cake mix)
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans

Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan. Mix all ingredients together and press in bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

FILLING:

2/3 c. cake mix (reserved from crust)
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix ingredients together and pour over crust. Add chopped pecans over top of mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Cut in bars when cool.
