CHINESE WALNUT BARS 
1 egg
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt

Cream egg and sugar together until smooth. Add chopped walnuts, vanilla and flour which has been sifted with the baking soda and salt. Spread batter in greased 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean.

Makes about 12 to 16 bars.
