BOEUF À LA MODE
1 (1 lb.) pkg. beef cubes
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
cloves (optional or to taste)
salt and pepper, to taste
beef broth, as needed (Swanson)

MEATBALLS:

1 (1 lb.) pkg. ground beef
bread crumbs (Progresso or 4C)
1 egg
2 garlic cloves, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste

In a pot, start to simmer beef cubes in broth. In the meantime, chop onion and garlic.

Turn the ground beef into meat balls by combining ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, salt and pepper.

After beef has been boiling for an hour or so add onion and garlic, meat balls, cloves, salt and pepper to taste.

After a while the beef will becomes stringy and come apart. You may have to add broth multiple times.

Once the beef mixture has thickened (from simmering away the broth), simply serve over rice, mashed potatoes or even bow tie pasta.
