KIDNEY BEAN STEW 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. sliced bacon, cut in 1 in. pieces
1 med. onion, chopped
6 med. carrots, cut in 1/2 in. slices
6 med. potatoes, cut in 1 in. cubes
1 can kidney beans, undrained
Salt and pepper to taste
Water

Partially fry bacon, then add ground beef and fry until light brown. Drain off most of the fat. Add vegetables and seasonings and enough water to just cover the mixture. Cook until vegetables are tender, then add kidney beans and heat through until it starts to simmer.

Note: More or less vegetables can be used, according to your requirements. I have even used Bacon Bits to taste instead of bacon.
