BAVARIAN APPLE TORTE 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese, soft
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. peeled, sliced apples

Cream butter, sugar, salt. Blend in flour; spread dough into 9 inch spring form pan. Mix cream cheese and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into pastry lined pan. Blend sugar and cinnamon. Mix in apples. Arrange over filling. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Reduce to 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
