MY FAVORITE MANDARIN SALAD 
1/2 c. almonds, sliced
3 tbsp. sugar

In a small heavy pan cook almonds in sugar until dissolved and coated. Cool in air.

DRESSING:

1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 c. oil
1 tbsp. parsley, chopped
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
Dash of Tabasco

Mix well and chill. 1/2 head Romaine lettuce 1 c. celery, chopped 2 green onions, chopped 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained

Mix and toss with dressing. Top with almonds and mandarin oranges.
