CHEESE STRAWS 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. grated sharp or extra sharp New York cheddar cheese
Salt (optional)
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (more or less as desire)

Cream butter and cheese. Add salt and work in flour. Knead dough well. Put through cookie shooter. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
