BISHOP'S BREAD 
2 2/3 c. flour, sifted
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
8 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 c. milk

CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a large mixing bowl, blend brown sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Add flour mixture and beat until all ingredients are combined. Turn the batter into the prepared pan.

For the topping. combine the sugar and flour with the butter and cinnamon to make crumbs. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake for 25 minutes. Serves 10 to 12.
