2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

1 stick butter
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 box powdered sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift first four ingredients together. Melt and heat next four ingredients and pour them over the dry mixture. Beat eggs, and add to mix with buttermilk. Bake about 20 minutes in 400 degree oven.

Melt butter with 1/3 cup buttermilk. Pour over powdered sugar and cocoa. Add nuts and vanilla and frost cake while it is still hot.
