BASIC OAT AND GRITS RECIPE 
1 cooked grits (leftover from breakfast)
2 eggs (or egg whites)
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. instant postum
4 pieces crumbled bread
1/4 c. nuts, finely chopped
1 to 1 1/4 cups Old Fashioned Oats

Beat eggs in large mixing bowl. Mix in grits. Add soy sauce, postum, bread, and nuts. Mix well. Add oats. Mix until you get a rather dry, hand workable product. The oats will absorb a lot of moisture if you let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
