OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. Crisco
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Mix flour and sugar together. Add Crisco, egg, vanilla and add milk a little at a time until batter is soft and not to thin. Roll out to about 1/2 inch or less, on a well floured cloth. Cut with cookie cutter and place on a greased pan. (Not too close together.) Mix tea cake batter with hands.
