BOSTON CREMES 
3 c. sugar
1 c. Karo
1 c. thick cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of cream of tartar

Cook until it forms a soft ball or 240°F. Add vanilla and beat until creamy. Add 1 cup of nut meats. Drop on waxed paper.

Makes 3 pounds.

Cooks Note: A Candy Thermometer is recommended for best results.
