APPLE FRITTERS 
4 tart apples
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. dark rum
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Confectioners' sugar

Peel and core apples; cut into 1/4 inch thick slices. Beat eggs. Whisk in milk, rum, salt and flour. Dip apple slices in batter, then deep fry. Serve with confectioners' sugar.
