NUT HORNS
DOUGH:

1/2 lb. butter, softened
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
About 1 tsp. salt (to taste)
3 extra lg. or jumbo egg yolks (save whites)
1/2 pt. sour cream
Powdered sugar

Mix butter, salt, baking powder and flour (like pie crust). Add yolks and sour cream. Mix well, if dry add sour cream or egg yolk. Chill 4 hours to overnight.

FILLING:

2 lbs. finely ground walnuts
1 egg
1 c. sugar

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar slowly. Mix egg with nuts. Fold into nuts. Take dough about 1 teaspoon at a time. Roll out on powdered sugar in shape of a triangle. Drop about 1/2 teaspoon filling on dough. Roll in crescent shape. Roll out, one at a time. It is important the dough stays chilled. Bake at 350 degrees until golden, about 10 minutes on a greased pan. Makes about 10 dozen.
