CABBAGE STEW 
2 lb. cabbage, grated
1-2 med. onions, grated
1 #2 1/2 can crushed tomatoes
20 med. size meatballs
5-6 med. potatoes
3 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper to taste

Put all the ingredients together, add water and cover the stew. Bring to a boil. Keep stew covered with water and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Yields 6-8 servings.

MEATBALLS:

1/2 lb. hamburger
2 heaping tbsp. bread crumbs
2 tbsp. Roman cheese
1 egg
Salt & pepper
Little water
