BYRON'S CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM 
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. whole milk
4 oz. baking chocolate
3 eggs
4 c. half and half
2 tbsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt and flour in a double boiler. Add milk gradually to avoid lumps. Stir over medium heat constantly. When warm, add chocolate and cook until thickened, about 10 minutes longer. Stir small amount into beaten eggs. Put egg mixture into double boiler. Stir well, cook 3 minutes. Cool. Add cream, vanilla and stir well. Chill and transfer to ice cream freezer.
